Education
I have earned 3 Associate of Science Degrees from Hagerstown Community College. They are in Biology, Chemistry, and Pre-Pharmacy. I finished these degrees in 2015. I also earned my high school diploma from Smithsburg High School in 2013. I am a current pharmacy student at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. I have completed undergraduate coursework in General Biology, General Chemistry, General Education (English Literature and Language, Psychology, Public Speaking etc,) College Algebra, Pre-Calculus and Calculus along with graduate coursework in Pharmacy topics.
Experience
I have one semester of tutoring experience from community college. I tutored Algebra, Developmental Math, Biology, Developmental Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and Developmental Chemistry. I also tutored any general courses in which I earned an "A" (Psychology, World Religions, Music Appreciation etc.) I also have experience proofreading and assisting with essay writing. I also know how to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. I want to be a tutor because I love helping others understand things! This is also why I want to be a pharmacist. The communication and teaching skills I develop in tutoring can easily be transferred to the profession of pharmacy (and vice versa). I loved tutoring in undergrad and would enjoy picking it up again. I have the most experience with college freshmen and sophomores, but I am confident that I will be able to help younger students as well. I do not have time for an official part-time job so I thought devoting a few hours a week to tutoring would help supplement my income.
